Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Markus Quinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Stitt!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quinn gets the takedown into side control.

Quinn working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Quinn is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Stitt trying to hold on to Quinn's head to control him but Quinn postures up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stitt pulls Quinn in close to prevent any damage.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Quinn landing with the ground and pound.

Quinn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Quinn content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Quinn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Stitt is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Quinn throws a big right hand that misses.
Quinn is in close to Stitt's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Quinn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Stitt stays in close to Quinn's body and controls the position.
Stitt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Quinn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stitt defends well.
Stitt postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stitt trying to control the position from guard on top but Quinn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Quinn takes a jab right on the kisser.
Stitt takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Stitt dives in and scores a takedown into Quinn's guard.
Quinn looking for a sweep. Not yet Quinn, not yet.
Stitt throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Quinn works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stitt works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Stitt working the head and body with strikes.
Quinn gets full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Quinn wants to stand and escape but Stitt is having none of it.

Stitt has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Quinn to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Stitt is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Quinn pulls down on the head and he's put Stitt to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Markus Quinn!
