Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abi Bala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abi Bala struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Marcelo Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Bala wants the takedown. Silva is fighting it off but Bala persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silva's guard against the ropes.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bala wants to stand but Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bala can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bala has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Silva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bala is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Silva pulls down on the head and he's put Bala to sleep! This one is all over!
