The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pouncey darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pouncey throwing shots but Hayze is blocking nicely.

Pouncey closes the distance and clinches up with Hayze, looking for a takedown. Pouncey pushes Hayze against the cage but Hayze circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Pouncey shoots in looking for a takedown but Hayze manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pouncey's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The crowd cheers as Hayze lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pouncey doesn't seem phased though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
