The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bud has his foot on Bellanca's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bellanca works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bellanca throws an elbow that misses. Bud uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bellanca's guard. Nice move by Bud!

Bellanca is looking for a triangle but Bud pushes his legs off easily.

Bud drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bellanca looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bellanca looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bellanca!

Bellanca is working to tighten his grip on Bud's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bud has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bellanca is really squeezing tight and eventually Bud passes out! Bellanca breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
