Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vinnie Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reggie Smalls!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smalls listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Smalls slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smalls moves away.
Smalls fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Smalls just misses with a punch to the body.
Smalls uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Smalls avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Smalls fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jones is out of range.

Reggie Smalls showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Smalls throws a lazy right hand but Jones sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Jones has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Smalls regains guard immediately.

Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Smalls ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Smalls fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Smalls ducks down to avoid it.
Reggie Smalls is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Jones misses with a body shot.
Smalls catches Jones with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Smalls bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jones's head.
Smalls throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Smalls moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off.
Jones throws a sloppy body shot
and Smalls counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Smalls does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Jones takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Smalls swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Vinnie Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jones shoots in for a double leg but Smalls sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vinnie Jones.
I think Smalls has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
