PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Judge Machina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toshiro Montero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machina comes to the cage accompanied by Rage Against The Machine - Know Your Enemy. Montero has chosen Danzig - Mother as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Toshiro Montero!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Montero connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Montero pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Montero just misses with a punch to the body.
Montero does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Machina stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Machina wants it to stay on the feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Judge Machina.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Machina, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
