Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chauncey Hancock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Beest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chauncey Hancock is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chauncey Hancock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tim Beest!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Topper Green and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beest fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hancock sprawls well initially but Beest persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hancock is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hancock trying to hold on to Beest's head to control him but Beest postures up.
Beest not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Hancock wants to control but Beest is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Beest works his way into full mount!
Hancock knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beest on the ground.
Beest controlling the pace for now.
Hancock is working to get back to half guard.
Hancock sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Hancock pushes Beest off looking to stand but Beest dives back in and keeps control.
Hancock is looking for a sweep. Beest is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Beest looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Beest sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hancock defending well though.
Hancock wants to improve his position but Beest is controlling well.
Beest is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Beest is thwarting Hancock's attempts to control the position.
Beest uses his free foot to push down on Hancock's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hancock.
Beest controlling from mount.
Hancock tries to lock up and control but Beest gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Beest trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Beest controlling from mount.
Hancock is in a horrible position here. Beest smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Beest with the ground and pound from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hancock reaches up to try and control the position but Beest seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Hancock rolls and tries to escape and now Beest has his back!
Hancock rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Beest wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hancock keeps working.
Hancock is doing well to control the position and prevent Beest from advancing to side control.
Beest wants to get back to his feet.
Hancock keeping hold of Beest's head, controlling as best he can.

Beest trying to control from half guard but Hancock is working away.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Beest tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Beest looks to score with a jab to the body but Hancock is just out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hancock clinches with his opponent.

Beest jumps guard and drags Hancock to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hancock wants to stand and escape but instead Beest has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Beest dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Beest throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hancock tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Beest is in Hancock's guard.
Hancock working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Beest.
Hancock trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Hancock looking to control.
Beest trying to control but Hancock is working from the bottom.

Hancock has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Beest has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Beest gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Hancock preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Beest wants to control but Hancock is keeping him busy.

Beest wants to pass to mount but Hancock is defending the position.
Beest looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Beest is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hancock has managed to free his arm - good work.
Hancock is trying to maintain the position but Beest is very close to passing his half guard.
Hancock is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Beest is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Beest is looking to advance position but Hancock won't allow it.

We're going to have a standup here because Chauncey Hancock wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Beest throws a wild body kick that Hancock sees coming a mile off.

Hancock gets a double leg takedown into Beest's guard.

Beest looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hancock with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hancock lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Beest is trying to keep Hancock in close.
Beest is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Hancock scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Hancock keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Beest's head.
Hancock is working Beest over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Beest manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hancock wants to control but Beest is having none of it.
Beest tries to control but Hancock wriggling away.
Beest avoids the attempt from Hancock to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Beest lands a nice shot to the head.

Hancock defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Beest.
Tim Beest has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hancock tries to control Beest's body but Beest pushes him off. Hancock squirms to his side and now Beest has his back!
Hancock looking very determined here, making life difficult for Beest.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
You can see the frustration on Hancock's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hancock covering up well under a series of strikes from Beest.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Beest showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Beest shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hancock's guard.
Beest controlling from the top position.
Hancock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hancock throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Beest is trying to control but can't.
Beest is pressing down on Hancock's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Beest wants to sweep but no luck.

Beest has momentary wrist control but Hancock slips an elbow through the middle.
Beest is looking to stand up but Hancock isn't so interested in that idea.
Hancock has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Beest had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hancock defends it easily.
Beest takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Hancock wants to stand but Beest is controlling his posture from full guard.

Beest utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hancock scoring with punches to the head and body.
Hancock trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Beest wants to stand up but Hancock is controlling him.
Hancock has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Beest is proving hard to escape from.
Hancock missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hancock wants to stand but Beest is controlling his posture from full guard.

Beest looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hancock is one step ahead there.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hancock accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hancock won't allow Beest to sweep him here.
Hancock working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Hancock wants to get up but he can't break Beest's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hancock trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Beest is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Beest wants to stand but Hancock is controlling the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tim Beest wasn't active enough on the ground.

Beest gets a clinch.
Hancock misses with a punch to the body.
Beest taking a breather.
Beest throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Beest breaks from the clinch.

Hancock takes the fight into the clinch.
Chauncey Hancock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tim Beest is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Hancock pushes off an throws an elbow but Beest leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Tim Beest.
Well Beest has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
