Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Delmer Reeves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Delmer Reeves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, King Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reeves is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A head kick misses from Jacobs.
Reeves has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jacobs leaves Reeves with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Reeves tries to land a front kick but Jacobs steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Jacobs throws a combination that misses

and Reeves counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jacobs wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Jacobs is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jacobs is looking to reverse the position.
Jacobs is not content to let Reeves control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jacobs tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Reeves wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Reeves wants to control but Jacobs is keeping him busy.
Reeves sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Jacobs is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Jacobs is looking for a sweep.
Reeves wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jacobs keeps working.
Reeves is trying to ground and pound but Jacobs uses the momentary lack of control by Reeves to regain half guard.
Reeves trying to control the pace.
Reeves thows a huge punch but Jacobs dodges it nicely.

Jacobs keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Reeves wants to stand up but Jacobs has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Reeves throwing shots but Jacobs is blocking nicely.
Jacobs regains full guard. Nicely done.
Reeves trying to control but Jacobs is working from the bottom.
Reeves postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jacobs is looking to stand up but Reeves isn't so interested in that idea.
Reeves trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Reeves wants to stand but Jacobs has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Reeves wants to control from the top but Jacobs keeps moving.
Reeves prevents Jacobs from getting back to his feet.
Jacobs should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Reeves loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Reeves trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Jacobs keeping moving, preventing Reeves from controlling successfully.
Reeves missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Jacobs wants to sweep but no luck.
Reeves trying to control but Jacobs is working from the bottom.

Jacobs looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reeves is one step ahead there.

We're going to have a standup here because Delmer Reeves wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Reeves doesn't manage to clinch there - Jacobs circles away.

Jacobs rushes Reeves and presses him up against the cage.

Jacobs breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jacobs fails to land the takedown.
Reeves tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jacobs was well out of range. Poor timing from Reeves.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Delmer Reeves dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jacobs fails with an attempt to clinch.

Reeves closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Reeves wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jacobs has him pressed against the cage.

Jacobs is breathing heavily.
Reeves is pressed up against the cage. Jacobs has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Reeves down to the mat. Reeves avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Jacobs tries to clinch there but Reeves circles away.
Reeves keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jacobs throws a head kick but Reeves moves out of range.

Jacobs forces Reeves back against the cage and clinches.
Jacobs jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Reeves walks away with a smile on his face. Jacobs gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jacobs looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reeves is fending him off so far but Jacobs persists. Nope, Reeves circles away and we're back to standing.
Delmer Reeves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Jacobs.

Reeves fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jacobs avoids it really well and circles away.
Jacobs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Reeves manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Delmer Reeves is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jacobs slaps away a takedown attempt from Reeves, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Reeves is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jacobs sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Reeves checks a leg kick.

Reeves is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jacobs is keeping busy.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Jacobs is looking for a takedown.
Reeves avoiding damage as Jacobs throws knees to the body.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Delmer Reeves.
Jacobs closes the distance and clinches up with Reeves, looking for a takedown. Jacobs pushes Reeves against the cage but Reeves circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Reeves shoots in for a takedown but Jacobs shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jacobs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but King Jacobs will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Reeves is looking to clinch but Jacobs is avoiding it.
Horrible takedown by Jacobs or perhaps it was just good defense by Reeves which made him look bad.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reeves shoots for a double leg takedown but Jacobs sprawls well. He's pushed Reeves's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jacobs shoots in looking for a takedown. Reeves tries to sprawl out of it but Jacobs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reeves manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Reeves counters with a lovely shot to the body.
King Jacobs seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Reeves feints and as Jacobs raises his hands in defense, Reeves changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Reeves throwing strikes but missing.
Reeves trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jacobs's guard.
Reeves controlling from the top position.
Reeves would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Reeves sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Jacobs keeping moving, preventing Reeves from controlling successfully.

Delmer Reeves has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Jacobs fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Delmer Reeves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Jacobs.

Reeves closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jacobs did well to prevent Reeves getting side control.

Reeves is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jacobs defends it well.

Reeves prevents Jacobs from improving his position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jacobs is not content to let Reeves control the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Reeves doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Jacobs counters by clinching up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Delmer Reeves showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Reeves has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
