Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Schrute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Khrepchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khrepchenko comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Why Do We Fall kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dwight Schrute!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Alexander Khrepchenko!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Khrepchenko checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Khrepchenko moves in looking to clinch but Schrute pushes him off.
Schrute misses with a looping right.
Schrute shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Khrepchenko defends it nicely.
Khrepchenko moves out of range of the strikes.
That kick from Schrute tenderised Khrepchenko's leg. Khrepchenko is trying to keep his angry face on.
Schrute looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Khrepchenko tries to clinch but Schrute moves out of range.
Schrute motions for Khrepchenko to come forward. Schrute throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Schrute will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Khrepchenko is looking to clinch.
Schrute lands a nice looking body shot.

and Khrepchenko counters with a thumping low kick.
Khrepchenko tries to clinch but Schrute moves out of range.

Schrute moves into range and connects with a jab.
Schrute circles away from the clinch attempt.
Schrute misses with a hook
and Khrepchenko counters with a one-two to the body.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Schrute, right into the meat.
Khrepchenko moves to clinch but Schrute breaks away
and Schrute counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Khrepchenko takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Alexander Khrepchenko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Schrute keeps the fight on the outside.
Schrute swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Schrute misses with a kick to the body.
Khrepchenko tries to clinch
and Schrute counters with a straight right hand.
Schrute keeps the fight on the outside.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Khrepchenko tries to clinch up.

Schrute missing with a left hand there. Khrepchenko was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Khrepchenko defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Schrute.
Dwight Schrute seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Khrepchenko looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Schrute counters with a nice uppercut.
Schrute lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Schrute avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Schrute misses with a body kick.
Schrute misses with a low kick as Khrepchenko jumps back.

Khrepchenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Schrute swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Khrepchenko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Schrute paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Khrepchenko looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Khrepchenko moves to clinch but Schrute breaks away
and Schrute makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Schrute throws an overhand right that lands on Khrepchenko's shoulder, as Khrepchenko tries to avoid the shot.
Khrepchenko closes the distance looking to clinch
and Schrute counters with a leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Schrute connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Schrute throws a lazy right hand but Khrepchenko sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Khrepchenko takes one to the chin there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Schrute misses with a lunging right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Khrepchenko tries to clinch but Schrute is having none of it.
Good leg kick by Schrute there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Schrute ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Khrepchenko ducks under a wild hook from Schrute.
Schrute throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Khrepchenko darts in trying to clinch
letting Schrute counter with a right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dwight Schrute dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Schrute lands a jab to the head.
A swing and a miss from Schrute.

Schrute gets a takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Schrute seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Khrepchenko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Khrepchenko is trying to stand.
Schrute keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Khrepchenko wants to get back to his feet.
Schrute controlling the pace.

Schrute is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Schrute trying to pass the guard but Khrepchenko defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schrute is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Khrepchenko reverses the position - he's now on top in Schrute's guard.

Schrute is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Khrepchenko rolls with it to try and escape but Schrute cranks on the arm and Khrepchenko is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
