Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Domingo Pittman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Weeg Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weeg Powers will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Pittman.

Powers closes the distance and clinches.
Pittman fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Powers ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Powers no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Powers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pittman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Powers has control of Pittman's left arm, preventing Pittman from doing any damage.

Powers sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pittman's guard.

Pittman is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Powers jumps into side control!

Pittman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Powers walks away with a smile on his face. Pittman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Pittman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Powers wants to control but Pittman is keeping busy.
Powers is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like Pittman is going to stand back up.

Pittman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Powers defends it well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Powers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Powers drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pittman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Powers has Pittman in his guard.

Pittman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
