Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Whonjon William!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vijay Singh!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Singh has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
William thows a body shot but no joy.
Singh throws a head kick that misses

and William counters with a nice double leg into side control. Singh won't be happy with that.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Singh tries to bench press William off him but William keeps the position.
Singh is not content to let William control the position.
Singh parries the strikes from William easily there. William is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Singh to escape.

William fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Singh avoids it really well and circles away.
William moves out of range of the body kick from Singh.

Singh cracks William with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
William tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Singh wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Singh regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from William.
