Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Captain Caveman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chucho Benitez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caveman comes to the cage accompanied by Captain Caveman Intro. Chucho Benitez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caveman throws a head kick but Benitez moves out of range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Benitez has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Captain Caveman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Caveman cracks Benitez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Good leg kick by Caveman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Caveman has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Benitez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Caveman throws out the jab.

and Benitez counters with a nice body kick.

and Benitez counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Benitez looking to finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Benitez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Caveman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Benitez cracks Caveman with a solid left hand.
Oh Caveman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Benitez drops back looking for a leg! Caveman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Caveman manages to kick Benitez off! Benitez jumps back into Caveman's guard.
Benitez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Benitez forces his way into half guard.
