Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ze Minotauro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pope might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to For Whom The Bell Tolls. Minotauro has chosen Buckethead - jump man as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pope misses with a looping right.
Minotauro rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pope counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Pope ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Minotauro has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Pope connects with a right hand. Minotauro shakes it off.

Pope lands a big head kick that sends Minotauro tumbling to the mat! Pope takes a step backwards and waves Minotauro back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Pope lands a head kick. Minotauro smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Pope paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Pope clobbers Minotauro with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Minotauro might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Pope has got the better of the exchanges.

Michael Pope spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
