Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fedor Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson misses with an uppercut
enabling Emelianenko to counter with a crisp jab.
Nelson throws a looping overhand right but Emelianenko ducks down to avoid it.
Emelianenko connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nelson momentarily.

Nelson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Emelianenko to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Emelianenko controls from within his opponent's guard.

Emelianenko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nelson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Emelianenko has managed to get both his arms back between Nelson's legs - danger averted.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Fedor Emelianenko hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Emelianenko ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Emelianenko has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Nelson throws a combination that misses
and Emelianenko counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Nelson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Emelianenko thuds his right hand into Nelson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Oooooh!!! Emelianenko has knocked Nelson down with a huge combo! Emelianenko steps away and waves a wobbly Nelson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Roy Nelson has been cut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Emelianenko fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Oh Nelson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fedor Emelianenko seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Nelson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nelson seems to have got his legs back now.

Emelianenko drops Nelson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nelson looks back up at him and smiles so Emelianenko waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Nelson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Emelianenko can pounce on him.

Emelianenko shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nelson eats them both and turns towards Emelianenko to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Nelson walks into a jab.

Nelson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Emelianenko ducks under a wild hook from Nelson.

Emelianenko feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Nelson sprawling to the canvas! Nelson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Emelianenko finish him?!
Emelianenko ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Emelianenko slips a straight right by Nelson.
Emelianenko connects with a nice cross there... Nelson is looking wobbly and Emelianenko recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Nelson to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Emelianenko jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
