Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phil Mcracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chev Chelios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcracken's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, DJ Hi-Tek Rulez [Die Antwoord]. Chelios is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by In Waves. Phil Mcracken has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcracken shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chelios but Chelios pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've been hearing reports that Mcracken has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Chelios scores with a push kick.
Chelios misses with a hook
and Mcracken counters with a shoot takedown. Chelios fights it but they end up in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Chelios is looking for a sweep. Mcracken is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mcracken wants to free his trapped foot but Chelios is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Mcracken in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Mcracken has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Chelios looking for a sweep. Not yet Chelios, not yet.
Mcracken lands a couple of elbows.
Mcracken works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Chelios is pressing down on Mcracken's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Mcracken lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mcracken looking to sit in guard and control but Chelios gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Chelios wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Mcracken's closed guard. He's half up but Mcracken has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Mcracken pivots and extends the arm, Chelios falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Mcracken! Well done that man!

Phil Mcracken was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
