Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andre Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashad Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cain might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dominos. Baker has chosen Party in The USA as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Cain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rashad Baker!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker wants to clinch up but Cain keeps it at a distance.
Baker shoots for a takedown but Cain saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Baker moves into the clinch.

Baker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Baker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Baker looks for a takedown but Cain sprawls well.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Baker tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cain just stands there and leans against the cage.
Andre Cain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rashad Baker.

Cain is looking to break free of the clinch but Baker has double underhooks.

Baker shoots in and bounces Cain off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Cain on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cain tries to get out of the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cain knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Baker on the ground.

Baker is bucking up trying to escape but Cain cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Cain has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Baker's face.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Cain counters with a three punch combo that has Baker backing up. Baker nods at Cain to acknowledge the strikes.

Cain has had enough of the clinch but Baker keeps him there for the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A combination from Cain does no damage.
Baker clinches but Cain breaks the clinch
and Cain counters with a two punch combo.
Andre Cain is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cain lands with a kick to the temple. Baker shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Cain scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Cain rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Baker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Baker swats away the attempt to clinch by Cain.

Cain lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Cain wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Baker ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Baker no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Cain throws a strike but Baker rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Cain is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Baker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Baker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Baker moves out of range of the leg kick from Cain.
Baker closes the distance looking to clinch

and Cain counters with a nice double leg into side control. Baker won't be happy with that.
Cain connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Baker some visible discomfort.
Baker manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Ground and pound from Cain.
Baker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Baker regains full guard. Nicely done.
Cain takes a decent strike to the side of the head.

Cain postures up in Baker's guard and throws a big left but Baker blocks it.

Baker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Baker is tightening it up a little... Cain has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Cain reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Cain taps out! nice BJJ there by Baker!
