Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Micheal Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from John. Those never looked like landing.
Alvarez is looking to clinch but John is avoiding it.
Alvarez pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A shot to the liver by John. Beautiful body shot.
Alvarez moves in looking to clinch but John pushes him off.
Alvarez misses with a looping left.
Alvarez tries for a takedown but John sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Alvarez misses with a jab, cross combination.
John misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Horrible takedown by Alvarez or perhaps it was just good defense by John which made him look bad.
John throws a series of punches but Alvarez avoids them all with ease.
Alvarez tries to clinch there but John circles away.
Alvarez throws a head kick but John moves out of range.
Alvarez shoots in looking for a takedown. John tries to sprawl out of it but Alvarez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. John manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bob John has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micheal Alvarez.
John tries to bum rush Alvarez with a series of wild strikes but Alvarez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
John lands a jab to Alvarez's midsection.

John will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
John throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Alvarez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alvarez creates some space and throws a big elbow, but John sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

John knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alvarez on the ground.

Alvarez has worked his way into a potential kimura here. John is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Alvarez yanks on the arm and John is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Alvarez.
