The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leino fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kulmala sprawls well initially but Leino persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kulmala is staying active underneath Leino, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Leino is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kulmala defends it well.
