Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jordan Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ihsan Ali!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali motions for Henderson to come forward. Ali throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ali lands a front kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ali throws a head kick but Henderson moves out of range.
Henderson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Ali displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Henderson throws out the jab.
Ali throws a head kick that misses.
Ali throws a wild body kick that Henderson sees coming a mile off.
Henderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Henderson stands up from Ali's guard - Henderson perhaps looking for a knockout.
Ali blocks a head kick by Henderson.
Ali gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ali lands a head kick. Henderson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Ali misses with a head kick.
Ali's coach down at Cozad MMA Sydney was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ali's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Henderson misses with a kick to the body.
Ali pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ali throws a head kick but Henderson moves out of range.
Ali gets caught flat footed, as Henderson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Henderson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ali's guard.
Henderson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Ali is looking to improve his position.
Henderson winds up and cracks Ali with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Henderson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Henderson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Henderson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Ali tries to reverse the position but Henderson maintains control.
Henderson throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Ali has his hands clasped together but Henderson breaks the hold and Ali is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Henderson!
