Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grady Saunders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duncan Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grady Saunders is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Grady Saunders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Duncan Chase!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase tries to work over Saunders's front leg with a kick but Saunders checks it.
Saunders showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Chase.

Chase darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Saunders moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Saunders is controlling Chase's posture.
Saunders trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Saunders looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chase is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chase throwing strikes but missing.
Chase throws a strike but Saunders rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Saunders sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Chase wants to stand and escape but Saunders is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chase is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Saunders dives into side control.

Chase is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Saunders asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Chase tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Chase is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Chase tries to hold on but Saunders postures up.
Chase wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Saunders sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Saunders really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Saunders will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Saunders won't let Chase get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Chase is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Chase wants to hold on but Saunders pushes him away.

You get the feeling that Chase really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Saunders has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Chase's face.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chase swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Saunders postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Chase looks a forlorn figure.

Chase is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Saunders controlling from mount.
Grady Saunders overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Saunders has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Chase's face.
Saunders is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Chase flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Chase tries to buck Saunders off but he can't manage it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Saunders cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Saunders can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chase is looking to escape.
Chase really wants to buck Saunders off and get back to his feet.

Chase is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Chase tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Saunders has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chase can do anything to dispel that myth.
Saunders is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Chase can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The referee warns Chase that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Saunders tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Chase can't escape the position.
Saunders lands a big elbow.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Saunders takes the fight into the clinch.
Chase blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Saunders prevents Chase from breaking the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Chase - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Saunders throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Chases head.

Chase manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Saunders on his heels. He'll look to pass Saunders's guard now, I'm sure.
Chase wants to stand and escape but instead Saunders has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Chase takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Saunders gets to mount! Chase was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Saunders is landing with some decent strikes but Chase is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Saunders has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Chase's body.

Grady Saunders showed his dominance in that final round.
