Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dawkins Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gipson Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in for a double leg but Brown sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Brown tries a head kick but it misses.
Sanchez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brown moves away.

Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sanchez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Sanchez looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Brown has picked Sanchez up and slammed him! Sanchez can't keep hold of the triangle and Brown manages to pass to side control!

Brown tries to close the distance and clinch but Sanchez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Brown.

Brown walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Sanchez has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brown is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sanchez.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dawkins Sanchez.
