Konda throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

and Jacobs counters with a series of strikes. Konda will be more careful next time no doubt.

Konda throws a right hand that Jacobs ducks under and follows up with a left that Jacobs also avoids with ease.
Konda loads up on a big right hand but Jacobs slips the punch.

Jacobs dodges the punch combination from Konda.
Konda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Konda is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jacobs can't fight it off and eventually Konda manages to take the fight to the floor. Jacobs looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jacobs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Konda clinches up with Jacobs and pushes him back against the cage.

Konda turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Konda manages to end up in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Konda throws a lazy right hand but Jacobs sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Konda's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jacobs shoots in and drives through. Konda sprawls well.
Jacobs shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Konda has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Jacobs has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ricky Konda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Konda scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Konda lands a left and a right that send Jacobs crashing to the mat, dazed. Konda thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Konda connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Jacobs covering up! Konda comes in with a big uppercut and Jacobs goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
