Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klaus Greger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kory Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Greger.
Greger misses with a body kick.
Greger has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Main Event Gym in the buildup to the fight.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ramirez.

Greger gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Greger breaks the clinch.
Greger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Greger throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Greger misses with a two punch combination.
Greger scores with a nice body kick.
Greger keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Greger goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ramirez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Greger tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ramirez was well out of range. Poor timing from Greger.
Ramirez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Greger's waist but Greger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ramirez off to one side.
Klaus Greger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kory Ramirez.
Greger misses with a body kick.
Greger looking to land some kicks to the body here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ramirez is defended easily by Greger.
Greger displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ramirez.
Greger throws a push kick but Ramirez slaps the foot to one side.
Ramirez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nice body kick there by Greger.
Ramirez moves out of range of the body kick from Greger.
Greger tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Greger looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Ramirez is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Greger jumps into side control!

Greger's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Greger decides to stand back up. Greger steps back and let's Ramirez get back to his feet.

Greger fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ramirez, pushing him back against the cage.

Greger breaks from the clinch.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Greger - that will leave a mark!

Ramirez gets caught flat footed, as Greger shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramirez trying to keep a closed guard but Greger is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Greger controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Greger takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Greger displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ramirez.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Greger is looking to land body kicks.
Greger misses with a kick to the body.
Greger throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


Ramirez is rocked!

Greger rushes Ramirez and presses him up against the cage.
Ramirez is still on wobbly legs! Can Greger finish him?
Greger effectively controlling the action here.
Ramirez misses with a hook to the ribs.
Greger gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Greger manages to break the clinch.

Greger shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Ramirez is on queer street and Greger is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Klaus Greger!
