Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nub Nodes!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Payne is defended easily by Nodes.
Payne fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nodes closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Payne tests Nodes's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Payne keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Payne falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Nodes counter with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Payne throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nodes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Payne.
Payne looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Nodes moves into range and connects with a jab.
Nodes ducks right into an uppercut from Payne.
Payne cracks Nodes with an open hand slap.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nodes ducks straight into an uppercut from Payne and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Nodes manages to regain guard straight away.
Nodes is rocked!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Payne gets to his feet and stands over Nodes, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Nodes felt that one! Payne unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Nodes from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Payne!
