The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by McWhorter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
McWhorter cracks Hamilt with a good jab.

Hamilt decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

McWhorter has one foot on Hamilt 's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hamilt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hamilt loads up on a big right hand but McWhorter slips the punch.
Hamilt closes this distance looking for a takedown but McWhorter circles away.

Hamilt shoots in and bounces McWhorter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

McWhorter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hamilt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McWhorter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hamilt thows a big elbow that misses.
McWhorter working a defensive guard but Hamilt passes into half guard.
Hamilt is keen to just control but McWhorter is a slippery customer.
McWhorter is looking to control Hamilt 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McWhorter avoid being mounted?

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McWhorter working to try and regain half guard.
McWhorter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hamilt landing punches.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hamilt cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Hamilt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McWhorter on the ground.
McWhorter manages to regain half guard. Good work.
McWhorter looks gassed!

Hamilt looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
McWhorter trying to keep a closed guard but Hamilt is proving a slippery customer.
McWhorter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hamilt is controlling him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McWhorter has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McWhorter pushes a forearm under Hamilt 's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hamilt is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
