Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny Barns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arturas Rudokas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barns lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Rudokas ducks under a wild hook from Barns.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barns is thwarting Rudokas's attempts to control the position.
Barns knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rudokas on the ground.
Barns looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rudokas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Rudokas tries to roll over but Barns keeps him under control.

Rudokas felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Rudokas is still in real trouble! Can Barns finish him?

Barns scores with a big shot! Rudokas's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Rudokas! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

After the fight, Danny Barns was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
