Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dan Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mang Kanor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dan Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mang Kanor!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kanor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A head kick from Kanor lands but Johnson takes it in his stride.
Kanor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Johnson stalks Kanor and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kanor's face. Kanor staggers backwards, shaken.
Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Kanor has Johnson up against the cage in a clinch.
Johnson tries to pull guard but Kanor holds him up against the cage and eventually Johnson drops back down to his feet.
Kanor is trying to drag Johnson to the mat but Johnson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kanor drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Johnson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kanor blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Kanor tries for a takedown. No joy.
Dan Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mang Kanor.

Kanor jumps guard but Johnson stands there with Kanor around his waist. Kanor gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Johnson is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Johnson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kanor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Johnson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kanor eats them both and turns towards Johnson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Kanor closes the distance and clinches.
Johnson tries to pull guard but Kanor won't allow it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johnson has Kanor pressed against the cage, preventing Kanor from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kanor is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Kanor lands with a left to the head.
Kanor tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Johnson wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kanor can't get the takedown.
Kanor is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Johnson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Johnson fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Kanor wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Johnson has him pressed against the cage.

Johnson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kanor's efforts to push away.
Kanor's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kanor shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Kanor avoids them all with ease.

Kanor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Kanor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Johnson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Kanor takes one to the side of the head.
Kanor is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Johnson has cracked Kanor with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Johnson lands another huge swinging hook and Kanor tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Kanor, before Johnson can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dan Johnson!
