The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Luiz .
Luiz lands with a kick to the temple. Jones shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Luiz looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Luiz looks for the body kick but Jones saw that one coming.
Luiz throws a wild body kick that Jones sees coming a mile off.
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Luiz connects with a jab.
Luiz lands with a nice body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Luiz throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Luiz scores with a jab to the jaw.

Luiz throws a push kick but Jones slaps the foot to one side.
Jones on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Luiz . Luiz obviously looking to wear him down.

Jones tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Luiz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jones has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A decent looking cross lands there for Luiz .

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Luiz lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Luiz to score with a decent uppercut.
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Luiz finish him?

Jones seems to have recovered his senses.

Luiz clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage.
Jones will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Luiz up against the cage.

Luiz breaks the clinch.
Luiz darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage.
Luiz digs a right hand underneath Jones's ribcage. Jones let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Luiz lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Jones or not.
Jones's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A nice left hand lands by Luiz .
Luiz throws a big uppercut that drops Jones! More strikes from Luiz and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Jones lies dazed against the cage as Luiz celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruno Luiz !
