And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Riggs!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggs misses with a combination

and Ayers counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Riggs striking off his back but it's not causing Ayers any problems.
Riggs looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ayers is one step ahead there.
Riggs trying to keep a closed guard but Ayers is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Riggs is looking for a triangle but Ayers pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ayers trying to control the position from guard on top but Riggs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Riggs lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ayers!
Ayers is in a horrible position here. Riggs smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.


It looks like Marcos Ayers has been cut.
Riggs prevents Ayers from getting the reversal.
Riggs can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ayers is looking to escape.
Ayers is trying to escape the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Riggs scoring with strikes but Ayers is staying in there.


Marcos Ayers's cut is getting worse.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ayers tries to lock up and control but Riggs gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Riggs controlling from mount.
Riggs lands a big elbow - Ayers is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Ayers is forced to tap out!
