Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucky Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cael Sanderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucky Kid has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucky Kid!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cael Sanderson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid throws a series of punches but Sanderson avoids them all with ease.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sanderson.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sanderson.
Sanderson misses with a wild body shot.
Sanderson looks to score with a jab to the body but Kid is just out of range.
Kid is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanderson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Sanderson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Sanderson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kid is trying to control Sanderson's posture but Sanderson avoids it.
Sanderson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Kid wants to control but Sanderson postures up.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Sanderson is looking to take a break and control but Kid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sanderson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kid will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Kid tries to improve position but can't.
Sanderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sanderson in side control, just content to control the action for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kid tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sanderson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sanderson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Kid tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanderson landing strikes.

Kid takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Sanderson tries to advance to mount but can't.

Kid sneaks back into half guard.
Kid is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanderson is looking to take a break and control but Kid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kid wants to get back to full guard.
Kid wants to control but Sanderson is keeping busy.
Kid wants to improve his position but Sanderson is controlling well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sanderson.
Kid is trying to control Sanderson's posture but Sanderson avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kid is looking to reverse the position.
Sanderson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Sanderson is looking to take a break and control but Kid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sanderson looks gassed!
Sanderson lands a nice forearm strike.
Sanderson blocks the strikes from Kid.
Kid regains half guard.
Kid works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kid is trying to control the position but Sanderson postures up.
Sanderson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Kid is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sanderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Kid is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cael Sanderson dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Sanderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sanderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kid swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kid is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Sanderson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kid is on top in guard.
Sanderson keeping moving, preventing Kid from controlling successfully.
Sanderson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kid is one step ahead there.
Kid will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sanderson is breathing heavily.
Kid sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sanderson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kid pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sanderson is keeping the position for now.

Kid passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Sanderson is not content to let Kid control the position.
Kid working away.
Kid tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Sanderson is trying to improve his position.
Kid trying to control the action but Sanderson is working from the bottom.

Kid is working to tighten is grip on Sanderson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sanderson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kid is really squeezing tight and eventually Sanderson passes out! Kid breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Lucky Kid!
Lucky Kid is the new heavyweight champion!
