The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Khan drops Heavy with a right and a left! Khan comes rushing in but Heavy regains his composure and manages to keep Khan in guard.

It looks like Chael Heavy has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Khan throws a strike but Heavy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Heavy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Khan wants to stand up but Heavy is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Heavy with a flurry of punches that miss.
Heavy postures up in Khan's guard and throws a big left but Khan blocks it.

Khan wriggles free and stands up.
Heavy tries for a takedown but Khan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Heavy closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Khan's guard.
Heavy looking to sit in guard and control but Khan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Khan throwing strikes from guard but Heavy blocks nicely.

Khan throws a sloppy strike and Heavy has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Khan is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Heavy!
