PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eemeli Saeldur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Boggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boggs has chosen "Miami Vice Theme" by Jan Hammer as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Eemeli Saeldur has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Eemeli Saeldur seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eemeli Saeldur!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tyson Boggs!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boggs fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Saeldur avoids it really well and circles away.
Boggs looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Boggs darts in and clinches Saeldur up against the cage.

Boggs has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Saeldur clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Saeldur is really stuck here.
Saeldur wants to get back to his feet.
Boggs wants to control but Saeldur is keeping busy.
Boggs scores with punches to the body.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saeldur avoids the strikes from Boggs.
Saeldur tries to break free.
Saeldur trying to control but not successfully.
Saeldur really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Boggs doesn't have the hooks in and Saeldur manages to turn into his guard.

Saeldur won't allow Boggs to get back to his feet.
Saeldur wants to pass the guard but Boggs is keeping the position.
Boggs is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Saeldur is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Saeldur trying to control but Boggs is working from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Saeldur wants to get up but he can't break Boggs's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Eemeli Saeldur just wasn't active enough.
Saeldur fails with an attempt to clinch.
Saeldur throws a leg kick but Boggs moved away.
Saeldur tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Boggs is able to avoid easily.
Saeldur tries to clinch there but Boggs circles away.
Saeldur stuffs the takedown attempt from Boggs. Boggs gets slowly back to his feet.
Saeldur is looking to clinch.
Saeldur tries to clinch but Boggs moves out of range.
Saeldur misses with a head kick.
Saeldur throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Boggs's head.

Saeldur slaps away a takedown attempt from Boggs, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Eemeli Saeldur has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Boggs.

Saeldur lands a nice leg kick that just misses Boggs's sensitive parts.
Saeldur tries to clinch up but Boggs circles away and keeps his distance.
Saeldur moves in looking to clinch but Boggs pushes him off.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Boggs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Saeldur connects with a looping right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Saeldur's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Saeldur smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Saeldur moves to clinch but Boggs breaks away

and Boggs counters with a nice double leg into side control. Saeldur won't be happy with that.

Boggs tries to stand but Saeldur is controlling his head.
Saeldur knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boggs on the ground.
Saeldur is looking to reverse the position.
Boggs is breathing heavily.
Boggs throws a strike aimed at the side of Saeldur's head but Saeldur avoids it well.
Saeldur tries to improve position but can't.
Boggs tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Boggs fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Saeldur is looking to regain half guard here but Boggs keeps moving and retains side control.
Saeldur is pushing Boggs's head away, looking to escape. Boggs manages to hold on to the position though.
Boggs tries to stand but Saeldur is controlling his head.
Saeldur tries to bench press Boggs off him but Boggs keeps the position.

Saeldur is working hard here to advance position.
Saeldur struggling a bit here.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Saeldur tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Saeldur scores with a head kick.
Boggs dives in and grabs Saeldur's left leg, looking for a takedown. Saeldur pushes down on Boggs's head and hops out.

Saeldur breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Saeldur throws the kick towards the body but Boggs avoids it.
Saeldur fails with an attempt to clinch.
Saeldur is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!


Saeldur tries to clinch up but Boggs circles away and keeps his distance.

Boggs tries to keep at a distance but Saeldur has taken the fight into the clinch.
Boggs is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Saeldur is defending well for now.

Boggs wants to take the fight to the mat but Saeldur manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Saeldur manages to break the clinch.
Saeldur shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Boggs eats them both and turns towards Saeldur to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Eemeli Saeldur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Saeldur looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Saeldur throws a head kick but Boggs moves out of range.
Boggs takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Saeldur goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Saeldur misses with a head kick.

Saeldur closes the distance and pushes Boggs back into the cage.

Boggs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Boggs avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Saeldur tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boggs swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Eemeli Saeldur is winning the standup battle so far.
Saeldur tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Boggs closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Saeldur to the mat! Saeldur manages to get full guard.
Saeldur is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Boggs trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Boggs wants to stand but Saeldur is controlling his posture from full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Eemeli Saeldur wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Saeldur is looking to clinch but Boggs is avoiding it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Boggs keeping moving, preventing Saeldur from controlling successfully.
Boggs is looking to stand up but Saeldur isn't so interested in that idea.
Saeldur would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Saeldur tries to free his leg and advance position but Boggs is retaining full guard.

Boggs closes the distance and pushes Saeldur back into the cage.
Saeldur has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Saeldur breaks from the clinch.
Tyson Boggs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Saeldur tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Boggs counters with a takedown into side control.
Saeldur is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Boggs is controlling him well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boggs is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Saeldur is trying to escape and Boggs transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Saeldur is forced to tap! Nice work there by Boggs! Very nice indeed!

Tyson Boggs took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
