Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Felix Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Be (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Be has chosen I Ain't No Joke as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Felix Storm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Eric Be!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Be closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Be is trying to control the action in half guard but Storm is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Storm taking some punishment here, with Be in his half guard.
Be performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Storm blocking the ground and pound attempt from Be.

Be is looking for a kimura here.

Be is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Be decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Be keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Be doesn't manage to clinch there - Storm circles away.
Eric Be seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Be feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Storm has his foot on Be's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Be works his way back into a safe position though.
Be pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Storm is keeping the position for now.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Be's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Storm looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Be would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Be working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Be scoring with punches to the head and body.

Be trying to control the position from guard on top but Storm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Be engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Be makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Be throws a big right hand that misses.

Be wants to control from the top but Storm keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Eric Be was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Be misses with the combination.
Storm dives in and grabs Be's left leg, looking for a takedown. Be pushes down on Storm's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felix Storm. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Storm blocks a head kick by Be.

Storm shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Storm showed some decent athleticism there.

Storm is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Be dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Be moves into the clinch successfully.

Be's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Felix Storm is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A head punch on the inside from Be fails to land.

Be breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Storm has a takedown stuffed.

Be gets a double leg takedown into Storm's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Be in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Be missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Be distracts Storm with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Be trying to control but Storm is working from the bottom.
Be looking to sit in guard and control but Storm gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Storm trying to control the position from guard on top but Be is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Storm missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Be avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Eric Be wasn't active enough on the ground.

Be rushes Storm and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Storm has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Be is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The referee is keeping an eye on Be - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Be pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Be tries to score with a low kick but Storm moves his leg out of the way.
Be misses with a two punch combination.
Storm fails with the takedown

and Be counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Be.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felix Storm. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Be has Storm pressed against the cage.
Storm has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Be avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Be breaks from the clinch.
A thudding body kick lands there by Be!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Be lands with a kick to the temple. Storm shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Storm shoots in for a takedown but Be shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Be gets caught napping as Storm dives in and scores a takedown. Be manages to retain guard.
Storm advances position into side control!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Be is trying to improve his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Storm working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Be showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Storm uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Be.

Storm shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Be's guard.
Storm wants to stand and escape but instead Be has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Be throws a big elbow that misses.
Storm keeping moving, preventing Be from controlling successfully.

Be content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Storm has locked up a guillotine! Storm's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Be is holding on here and Storm must be using up a lot of energy. Be has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Storm gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
