Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nigrondo Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olexandr Khomenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khomenko is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by "Replica" by Fear Factory. Olexandr Khomenko will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Taylor throws a predictable looking body shot
and Khomenko counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Taylor thinking.
Taylor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Taylor takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Taylor looks for a takedown but Khomenko sprawls well.
Khomenko misses with a body shot.
Taylor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Khomenko as he avoids it easily.
Taylor throws a head kick but Khomenko moves out of range.
Khomenko digs a good body shot into Taylor's ribs.
Khomenko looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Taylor has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad The Island in the buildup to the fight.
Khomenko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
No joy there for Khomenko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Khomenko jabs Taylor right on the nose. Taylor blinks but takes it well.
Khomenko misses with a body punch
and Taylor counters with a thumping low kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Khomenko. That snapped Taylor's head back.
Taylor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Khomenko but Khomenko pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nigrondo Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Khomenko works over Taylor's head and body with a nice combination.
Khomenko scores with a one two! Taylor had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Khomenko connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Taylor momentarily.

Taylor tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Khomenko defends well and Taylor ends up having to push Khomenko into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Taylor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Khomenko counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Taylor is breathing heavily.
Khomenko scores with a shot to the body.
Taylor walks into a jab.
Taylor shoots in for a double leg but Khomenko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Taylor. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Oh Taylor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Nigrondo Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Khomenko cracks Taylor with a hook to the temple - Taylor is on wobbly legs here! Khomenko swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Taylor falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Khomenko wins by TKO!
