Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Mamba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mamba has chosen Here Comes The Hotstepper as his entrance music. The key to victory for Paul Huerta has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huerta closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mamba quickly recovers to half guard.

Huerta thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mamba's head.
Huerta wants to control but Mamba is keeping him busy.

Mamba is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Huerta pulls his head out easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Huerta wants to clinch up but Mamba keeps it at a distance.
Huerta gets caught flat footed, as Mamba shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Huerta manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mamba rushes Huerta and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bobby Mamba hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Mamba shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Huerta dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Huerta throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Mamba avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Huerta looking to score a takedown here. Mamba is defending well but Huerta drives through and ends up in Mamba's guard.
Huerta keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mamba's head.

Mamba throws a strike aimed at the side of Huerta's head but Huerta avoids it well.
Mamba tries to advance to mount but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Huerta is not content to let Mamba control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Paul Huerta will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Huerta fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mamba on the side of the head.
Mamba wants to clinch.
Huerta misses with a wild body shot.
Huerta tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mamba swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mamba takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Mamba looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Huerta is fending him off so far but Mamba persists. Nope, Huerta circles away and we're back to standing.
Paul Huerta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Mamba counters with a shoot takedown. Huerta fights it but they end up in guard.

Paul Huerta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Mamba.
Mamba darts in looking for a takedown but Huerta gets double underhooks and turns Mamba into the cage.
Mamba has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Huerta uses from the top position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Paul Huerta.
I think Huerta has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
