The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Knight tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Archer.
Knight attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Knight tries to close the distance and clinch up but Archer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Knight displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Archer.
Archer throws out a loose jab but Knight uses good head movement to avoid it.

It looks like Sterling Archer has been cut.

Archer has Knight pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Archer pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Knight tumbling to the mat - Archer dives into Knight's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Knight controls Archer momentarily but Archer frees himself.

Archer is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Knight is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Archer lands a big shot there that rocks Knight but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Archer goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Knight turns into him and now he's in Archer's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Archer is looking for a triangle but Knight pushes his legs off easily.
Sterling Archer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
