Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Schoolboy Lamar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benny Thompson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson lands with a straight right. Lamar didn't see that one coming.
Thompson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lamar circles away quickly and effectively.

Thompson has had enough of the clinch but Lamar keeps him there for the moment.
Thompson is trying to push Lamar away but Lamar has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Lamar obliges.

Lamar is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Lamar seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Schoolboy Lamar will probably get the nod.

Thompson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lamar manages to avoid it.

Thompson staggers Lamar with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Lamar looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Thompson engages and cracks Lamar with a massive lead left hook - Lamar tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Thompson is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
