Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baldo Beneventi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruphus Duphus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beneventi comes to the cage accompanied by Marilyn Manson - The Fight Song . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beneventi throws a series of punches but Duphus avoids them all with ease.
Sloppy strikes from Beneventi. Those never looked like landing.
Beneventi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Duphus is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Beneventi shoots in for a takedown but Duphus shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice straight punches there by Duphus. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Duphus.
Duphus throws a jab when Beneventi was well out of range.
Beneventi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Duphus swings for the body but Beneventi moves out of range.
Duphus swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Beneventi.
Beneventi just misses with a punch to the body.
Beneventi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Duphus.
Duphus bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Beneventi's head backwards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Duphus throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and Duphus counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Duphus lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Duphus thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Beneventi's head.
Duphus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Duphus is pressing down on Beneventi's thigh, looking to free his foot. Beneventi is holding on for now.

Duphus seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beneventi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Beneventi is looking to get back to full guard here but Duphus has managed to pass to side control instead.
Beneventi parries the strikes from Duphus easily there. Duphus is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Beneventi to escape.
Beneventi is looking to regain half guard here but Duphus keeps moving and retains side control.

Duphus looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Beneventi is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Beneventi tries to roll over but Duphus keeps him under control.
Duphus thows a huge punch but Beneventi dodges it nicely.
Duphus frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Duphus is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Duphus takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Duphus is thwarting Beneventi's attempts to control the position.
Beneventi wants to get back to full guard but Duphus has mounted him!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Beneventi is squirming around, avoiding Duphus's attempts to control the action.
Beneventi keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Duphus with shots to the head and body - Beneventi looks very uncomfortable down there.
Beneventi is trying to escape the mount.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Beneventi is refusing to be controlled, as Duphus sits in half guard.
Beneventi preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ruphus Duphus dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Duphus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Duphus seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Beneventi keeping moving, preventing Duphus from controlling successfully.
Duphus controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Beneventi wants to sweep here but Duphus controlling him for the moment.
Beneventi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Duphus gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Beneventi controls Duphus momentarily but Duphus frees himself.
Ruphus Duphus has got the better of the ground game so far.
Duphus stands and throws Beneventi's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Beneventi is pressing down on Duphus's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Beneventi wants to sweep here but Duphus controlling him for the moment.

Duphus tries to free his leg and advance position but Beneventi is retaining full guard.

Duphus distracts Beneventi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Beneventi wants to hit a switch here but Duphus passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Beneventi there!
Beneventi tries to reverse the position but Duphus maintains control.
Duphus has hold of Beneventi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Beneventi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Duphus postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Beneventi in real trouble here! The ref calls for Beneventi to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ruphus Duphus!
A determined Ruphus Duphus didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
