Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timothy Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohamed Hassan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Timothy Jacobs has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hassan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hassan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Jacobs with a poor takedown

and Hassan counters by moving into the clinch.
Jacobs has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hassan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mohamed Hassan wasn't active enough on the ground.
Hassan tries to move into range but Jacobs moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Hassan throws a right hand that Jacobs ducks under and follows up with a left that Jacobs also avoids with ease.

Jacobs fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hassan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hassan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jacobs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hassan defends it easily.

Hassan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hassan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hassan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hassan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jacobs is letting Hassan control him for a moment.
Jacobs pushes Hassan away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hassan gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Hassan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jacobs's guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Hassan goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Jacobs fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hassan manages to avoid it.
Hassan needs to keep his hands up - Jacobs had a free shot at his head there.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jacobs enables Hassan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jacobs manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Hassan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hassan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Jacobs is looking to stand up but Hassan isn't so interested in that idea.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hassan holds on and takes a little breather.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mohamed Hassan.

and Jacobs counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Timothy Jacobs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hassan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jacobs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Jacobs's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jacobs tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hassan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hassan creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Hassan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jacobs will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Let's hope that Hassan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Mohamed Hassan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hassan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
