The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raveneye walks into a stiff left hand from Lambada.
Raveneye looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Lambada wants to clinch up but Raveneye keeps it at a distance.
Lambada misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lambada looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lambada misses with a right hand
and Raveneye counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lambada lands a glancing blow to the side of Raveneye's head.
Lambada tries to clinch up but Raveneye circles away and keeps his distance.
Lassi Lambada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lambada tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Raveneye manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lambada tries to work over Raveneye's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Lambada wants to take the fight to the mat but Raveneye manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Lambada turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lambada manages to end up in side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Lambada misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Raveneye is not content to let Lambada control the position.

Well Lambada has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
