PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Red Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Klaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyrone Klaus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klaus fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Blue moves into the clinch.
Klaus prevents Blue from breaking the clinch.

Klaus tries to score a body lock takedown but Blue shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Blue pushes Klaus off and gets back to his feet.
Klaus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Blue manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Blue shoots for a double leg takedown but Klaus sprawls well. He's pushed Blue's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Blue.

A head kick misses from Klaus.
Klaus tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blue swivels and escapes.
Blue looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Klaus is fending him off so far but Blue persists. Nope, Klaus circles away and we're back to standing.

Blue has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Klaus regains guard immediately.

Horrible takedown by Klaus or perhaps it was just good defense by Blue which made him look bad.

Klaus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blue's waist but Blue gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Klaus off to one side.

and Klaus counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Well Blue has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
