The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
WO bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
WO is trying to get an arm triangle but Costa is defending well.
Costa wants to control but WO postures up.
WO swings around for an armbar but Costa sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into WO's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that TW WO will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
WO looks to land a left hand but Costa moved out of range nicely.
Costa has a takedown stuffed.
Costa shoots for a double leg takedown but WO sprawls well. He's pushed Costa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Costa lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as WO backs up against the cage.
WO drives through with a takedown into guard.

WO drops back, looking for a kneebar! Costa looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Costa looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Costa!
TW WO overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The ground and pound from Costa seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Costa has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for WO!

WO postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Costa is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of WO, into his guard.
Costa has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of WO is proving hard to escape from.
WO looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Costa has picked WO up and slammed him! WO can't keep hold of the triangle and Costa manages to pass to side control!
