Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas LaVey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Kermodian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LaVey comes into the arena with Deicide - Scars Of The Crucifix blaring out of the sound system. Kermodian has chosen Arctic Monkeys - Mardy Bum as his entrance music. Lucas LaVey has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 36 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Kermodian!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kermodian throws a low kick, looking for LaVey's leg but LaVey calmly moves out of range.
LaVey connects with a looping right hand.
Kermodian throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Kermodian slips under a jab.
A head kick from Kermodian lands but LaVey takes it in his stride.
LaVey tries a head kick but it misses.

LaVey throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Kermodian tumbling to the canvas!

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kermodian manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
LaVey is squirming around, avoiding Kermodian's attempts to control the action.

LaVey is bucking up trying to escape but Kermodian cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kermodian takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
LaVey checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
LaVey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mark Kermodian will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

LaVey misses the shot to the body.
Lucas LaVey is winning the standup battle so far.
LaVey lands with an uppercut that bounces Kermodian off the cage and back into range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kermodian looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kermodian changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. LaVey tries to avoid it but Kermodian manages to keep hold of a leg and drag LaVey to the ground. LaVey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
LaVey throws a big shot that misses.
Kermodian takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kermodian is looking to clinch.

Kermodian has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from LaVey.
Lucas LaVey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kermodian lands with an uppercut that bounces LaVey off the cage and back into range.
LaVey feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kermodians jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
LaVey lands with a good body shot.

Kermodian shoots in and gets a takedown into LaVey's guard.
LaVey has his hands on Kermodian's head, controlling the position.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kermodian wants to pass the guard but LaVey is keeping the position.

LaVey drops Kermodian with a big left hand and mounts him. Kermodian is in big trouble!
Kermodian is still in real trouble! Can LaVey finish him?

LaVey unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Kermodian wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! LaVey celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
