Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcos Ayers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyleri Trinks!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Trinks drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Trinks works over Ayers with some ground and pound from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trinks wanted to stand there but Ayers had control of the position.
Trinks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ayers throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Ayers wants to sweep but no luck.
Ayers being controlled here, momentarily.
Trinks's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kyleri Trinks.
Ayers fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ayers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Trinks gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Trinks is trying to force a seperation but Ayers has the dominant position.
Trinks is trying to break the clinch but Ayers is controlling him.
Ayers is working for takedown but Trinks is calmly controlling the position for now.

The referee calls for Trinks to work.
Ayers goes for a takedown in the clinch but Trinks prevents it.

Trinks shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ayers is trying to defend but Trinks finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well, if Trinks is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ayers might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ayers tries to get to full guard but Trinks has control of the leg.
Trinks seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kyleri Trinks hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Ayers tries to sprawl but Trinks drives through with a takedown into half guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Ayers gets caught napping as Trinks dives in and scores a takedown. Ayers manages to retain guard.

Trinks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Trinks goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ayers rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Trinks's guard! Nice work there by Ayers!

Ayers throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Trinks wants to stand and escape but Ayers is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Marcos Ayers wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Ayers darts in and clinches Trinks up against the cage.
Trinks with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Ayers has Trinks pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Trinks manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Trinks breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ayers is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Trinks has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ayers regains guard immediately.
Trinks controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Trinks tries to free his leg and advance position but Ayers is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyleri Trinks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Trinks shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ayers napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ayers wants to control but Trinks postures up.
Trinks wants to stand but Ayers has his arm trapped.

Trinks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Trinks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Trinks passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Ayers!

Trinks cracks Ayers with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Ayers wants to control but Trinks is having none of it.
Trinks has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ayers's face.

Ayers is wriggling around trying to escape.
Trinks controlling from mount.
Trinks raining down shots from the mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Trinks wants to control the pace but Ayers is squirming around nicely.
Trinks avoids the attempt from Ayers to control.

Trinks looking to control but Ayers is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Ayers is trying desperately to improve position.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
BOOM! Trinks connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Ayers is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Trinks sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Trinks is looking to stand but Trinks has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Marcos Ayers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kyleri Trinks is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Trinks scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Kyleri Trinks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Trinks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
