The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Davis sprawls well. Davis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Malone gets slowly back to his feet.
Malone closes the distance looking to clinch
and Davis counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Davis.
Davis controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Davis slips nicely into half guard.
Davis is working for a submission of some sort.
Davis is trying to control the action in half guard but Malone is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Davis moves into full mount! Malone won't be happy about that!
