Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hantu Rockamole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hantu Rockamole!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockamole checks a leg kick.
Tavares tries to bum rush Rockamole with a series of wild strikes but Rockamole uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tavares throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rockamole throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tavares's waist but Tavares gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rockamole off to one side.
Rockamole's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tavares under the eye.
Tavares takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Rockamole is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tavares sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Tavares bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Rockamole uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tavares.
Tavares lands with an uppercut that bounces Rockamole off the cage and back into range.
Tavares uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rockamole.
Rockamole has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tavares finds it's way round the side to connect with Rockamole's head.
Tavares fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rockamole.
Rockamole wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Tavares scores with a jab to the body.
Rockamole works the jab nicely.
Rockamole throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Tavares's head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

It looks like Hantu Rockamole has been cut.
Tavares leaves Rockamole with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tavares is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Rockamole takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Tavares here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Rockamole might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Tavares has got the better of the exchanges.

Tavares walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Rockamole drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Tavares swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Rockamole's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
