Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pegg Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mathers might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Square Dance. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathers swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Some wild striking there from Mathers.
We've been told by Mathers's head coaches at The Barracks - LOD that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Frost closes the distance but Mathers moves to the side
and Mathers counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Mathers throws a hook to the side of Frost's head but Frost sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Frost throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Marshall Mathers has been cut.
Mathers scores with a punch to the head.
Frost is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Frost throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mathers counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pegg Frost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab lands there for Mathers.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Frost is looking to clinch but Mathers is avoiding it.
Frost fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mathers, pushing him back against the cage.

Frost tries a knee to the head but Mathers blocks it.

Mathers goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mathers misses with a leg kick
and Frost counters with a head kick that drops Mathers to the mat! Mathers scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Oh Mathers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mathers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Frost was well out of range. Poor timing from Mathers.
Frost closes the distance and clinches.
A nice left hand lands by Frost.
Frost misses with a knee strike.
Frost takes control of his opponent's neck and spins him into the cage. Mathers is off balance and as he stumbles, Frost throws a jumping knee that lands flush on Mathers's chin, knocking him out cold! Oh my word - what a knockout! Definitely one for his highlight reel! If he ever decides to rob a bank and run off to Morocco, that moment is defintely worthy of a tacky mural!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Pegg Frost!
