Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thijs Meyer!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Yorke. No joy for Meyer on that attempt.
Yorke looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Meyer drags the fight down to the ground.
Yorke has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Meyer tries to land a sweep but no joy.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Meyer can do anything to dispel that myth.

Meyer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yorke moves away.

Big Jim Yorke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thijs Meyer.
Yorke has had enough of the clinch but Meyer keeps him there for the moment.

Meyer is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yorke is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Meyer to the mat. Meyer regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
