Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dimon Boets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boets comes into the arena with Штиль blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 20 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimon Boets!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Carson!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carson throws a head kick but Boets moves out of range.
Boets will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've been informed that Carson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Boets takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Boets has been working on his boxing with his coaches at St Petersburg MMA Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Boets takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Boets misses with a takedown attempt - Carson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Boets closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee asks Boets politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Boets prefers to stall for the moment though.
Carson wants to control but Boets postures up.

Boets is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Carson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Boets wants to take a breather but Carson manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Boets.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boets pushing down on Carson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Boets tries to pass to full mount but Carson defends it.
Carson is refusing to be controlled, as Boets sits in half guard.

Boets seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Carson has recovered full guard.

Carson wants to hit a switch here but Boets passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Carson there!
Boets lands a heavy elbow.
Carson gets back to half guard.

Carson is looking to control Boets's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Carson avoid being mounted?
Boets is stalling here. Carson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Boets seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Carson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boets.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dimon Boets will probably get the nod.

Boets gets a double leg takedown into Carson's guard.
Boets is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Boets throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Boets looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Boets wants to control from the top but Carson keeps moving.

Carson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Boets throwing strikes from guard but Carson blocks nicely.
Carson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Boets fails to land the takedown.
Boets avoids the head kick by Carson.
Boets tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Carson misses with a head kick.
Boets shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Carson as he avoids it easily.
Dimon Boets is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boets cracks Carson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Carson throws a head kick that misses.
Scott Carson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Boets clinches.

Boets has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Carson is trying to keep an underhook but Boets manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Carson manages to escape and get back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boets on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Carson gets tackled into the cage by Boets. Boets maintains the clinch.

Boets escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carson digs a good body shot into Boets's ribs.

Boets rushes Carson and presses him up against the cage.
Boets is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Carson is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dimon Boets. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carson is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Carson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Carson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Carson can't break the clinch.
Boets has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Carson after a bit of a struggle.
Boets has Carson pressed against the cage, preventing Carson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Carson is trying to push Boets away but Boets has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Boets drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Carson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Boets lands a takedown into guard.
Carson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Boets content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Boets passes Carson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boets is trying to control. Carson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dimon Boets dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Carson drops Boets with a beautiful combination! Boets stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Carson is looking for the KO!


It looks like Dimon Boets has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Carson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Boets.

Boets is trying hard to land a takedown here. Carson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Carson thows a body kick. Boets tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Carson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Carson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Carson feints a jab promting Boets to slip. Carson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Boets slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Carson throws a sloppy head kick and Boets moves out of range easily.

Carson lands a big head kick that sends Boets tumbling to the mat! Carson takes a step backwards and waves Boets back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Boets is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Boets is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carson looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Carson backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Boets's temple! It sends Boets violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Carson celebrates and the doctors try to help Boets!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Scott Carson!
Scott Carson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
