Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Flores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antonio Souza will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza pulls out of a head kick attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Flores enables Souza to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Flores manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Souza uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Flores has time to react.

Souza is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Flores is keeping busy.

Flores has Souza pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Souza manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Flores is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Souza pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Souza is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Flores can't fight it off and eventually Souza manages to take the fight to the floor. Flores looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Souza shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Flores eats them both and turns towards Souza to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Sterling Flores has been cut.
Souza fails to land with a series of punches.
Souza throws a leg kick which misses Flores's front leg but catches the back leg as Flores tries to avoid it.
Sterling Flores is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Souza throws a one two combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A head kick misses from Souza.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Souza closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Flores drops down looking for an ankle pick but Souza pulls his leg out and moves away.
